So I started this blog as a sort of journal for myself. I intend to make it into a book for my family to read if they please.
Over the last few months, my time has been taken up by work. Working mothers...I take my hat off to you. Single, working mothers, I bow down to you! I feel like both.
My days entail of 9 working hours. Which include getting 2 seminary kiddos out the door at 5:15 am, One very sleep kiddo out the door for school at 7:15 am and driving a very BIG kiddo to school at 8:20. Then its me time....off to work. Ohh, throw in there making dinner for that night. Maybe a little something in the crockpot is nice.
That is how our morning begins. It is a little crazy, but not as crazy as most.
Last Monday Amanda and I went to the mall to do a little shopping for someone special. Amanda was driving my hot Mustang, I was in the passenger seat....
Can you see what is coming? She backed out of the parking spot and pulled forward and someone was speeding through the parking lot and hit us. Amanda was pretty shook up. My car has a few scratches, the other car has quite a dent. I'm glad I was with her.
I looked at her and said, "I paid my tithing yesterday, did you?" She giggled.
The next day Taylor informed me he needed a new coat. His was too small. Yep, he is growing! Yea! I told him I would look around for him. Later that night a friend called me and said she was at the mall at a store and they had nice coats on sale. Originally 60.00 marked down to 9.99. She said they were Youth Large and that they would fit Taylor. I asked her to get 2. They fit Taylor perfectly! I looked at Taylor and said, "I paid my tithing!"
Yesterday, Katie Bell and I had to go to the dollar store to get a few things for my YW lesson that I am teaching on Sunday. I only had a small amount of money that I could spend. I found exactly what I was looking for, and had 10.00 left over to go to Target to get some bread.
We walked over to the costumes to look. They were 30% off and Katie Bell didn't have one yet. So, we found one that was 10.00 at 30%. That would leave me just enough for bread. We went and paid, and that was all the money I had. As Katie Bell and I were walking to the car, right by my car was a 10 dollar bill. Katie Bell picked it up and looked at me. She said, "Mom, you paid your tithing didn't you?"
I guess my kiddos do listen.
